Whittier Bar damaged after truck crashes through storefront

TULSA, Okla. — Around 1 a.m. Sunday morning a truck crashed through the Whittier Bar storefront.

While the driver has minor injuries, no one was seriously hurt.

The storefront has been severely damaged and bar will be closed for a few days while they fix it up.

Heirloom Rustic Ales, a local brewery, is raising money for the bar. For each pour, the brewery will donate $1 to help them get opened back up.

The Take Offense, Pressure Test and Ruse show planned for tonight will now take place at the Mercury Lounge, who will be donating 10% of their sales to the Whittier Bar.

The owner of Whittier Bar, Nick Flores, shared on Facebook, “I am extremely grateful to everyone who has reached out, sent me messages of kindness and have asked to help in any way. It means the world to me.”

The Whittier Bar has also shared their PayPal information for those who wish to donate.
