According to Tulsa Police, 18-year-old Fedro Givens was shot and killed by 17-year-old Kaleb Pelton on September 30, 2022.
Pelton was charged with murder and was later found and arrested in California.
Today, Tulsa Police put out security video trying to identify a person they say witnessed the murder.
Police said this witness was with Pelton when Pelton shot Fedro. They said the witness then ran away with Pelton and didn’t come forward with information in the case until police put out the video Wednesday.
Police found, interviewed and released the individual on Wednesday. They said he gave an honest account of the crime and do not expect any charges to be filed against him.
Clarinda Givens, Fedro’s sister, said she thinks that witness is also responsible.
“It’s kind of heartbreaking that somebody that was there, knowing that they killed your brother, who didn’t come forward or anything, just got released like that, so it’s really heartbreaking.”
But the family will continue to fight for justice.
“Still going to fight for justice. Still going to fight for our brother, because he didn’t deserve to die, so we’re still going to just continue to press on and fight and keep Fedro’s name alive.”
