TULSA, Okla. — Four teenagers and one 11-year-old are in custody after a car chase through midtown Tulsa Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.
The chase began in south Tulsa near 66th and Riverside when police saw a shooting suspect inside a Chevy Equinox. The driver drove about a mile then five people left the car and ran on foot near 51st and Peoria.
Shortly after the chase, police arrested three of the five people involved. Police at the scene told FOX23 the three people in custody are under 18-years-old and one had a gun in the waistband on their pants.
Officers said two guns have been found so far.
The remaining two were caught walking into a nearby Braum’s in midtown.
Detectives told FOX23 they connected the 11-year-old and one of the other children, a 17-year-old, to a robbery earlier this week where the suspects attacked a man and stole his gun.
