TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police said a 9-year-old boy is dead after he was stabbed by his 12-year-old sister at a south Tulsa apartment Thursday night.
Police received a call just before midnight from a woman who reported a stabbing involving juveniles at a nearby apartment complex near East 61st Street and Riverside Drive. Police said medics were performing CPR on the boy when they arrived to the scene.

Police said officers learned the children’s parent was upstairs asleep when the 12-year-old daughter woke the parent up and said that she had stabbed her 9-year-old brother.
The boy was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery. He died shortly after 2:30 a.m.
The girl was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Family Center for Juvenile Justice. The Tulsa Police Child Crisis Unit is handling the investigation. This is the city’s second homicide of the year.
