Laura Mock, FOX23 Severe Weather Team
Meteorologist
Laura Mock joined the FOX23 Severe Weather Team in July 2017. Tulsa is home for Laura, she grew up in Broken Arrow and has been fascinated with the weather since she was little.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Broadcast Journalism. While at OU, she storm chased in her free time and interned at KOCO in Oklahoma City. After graduating, Laura worked in Harrisonburg, Virginia for three years.
Laura earned the designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society in 2016. She is also a member of the National Weather Association. Laura holds the position of co Vice President of the local AMS/NWA chapter.
Laura has helped Green Country through dozens of tornado outbreaks, historic snowstorms and provided coverage of damaging hurricanes and wildfires. She is a licensed drone pilot, providing a different perspective to storm damage.
Laura and her husband have two cats and love to explore Oklahoma by hiking and kayaking. They enjoy visiting National Parks across the country.
