BIXBY, Okla. — The Bixby Fire Department has not determined what started a house fire on 171st Street South in Bixby Thursday morning.
Fire Chief Joey Wiedel said the fire started in the great room in the upstairs of the house.
Most of the house is undamaged, but the upstairs sustained smoke damage.
The four residents made it out of the house, but a dog and two cats are missing.
One of the residents said she smelled plastic and turned off a space heater that was running.
Firefighters said anything upstairs most likely didn’t survive.
