TULSA, Okla. — Students at Bishop Kelley High School helped deliver letters to Santa on Friday.
The letter writing campaign helps deliver wishes to children fighting critical illnesses in partnership with Make-A-Wish.
For every letter sent to Santa, Macy’s has agreed to donate $2 to Make-A-Wish, up to $2 million.
You can still participate until December 24. Santa postcards to print at home and drop off at Macy’s stores are available on macys.com/makeawish.
Since the letter writing campaign began in 2013, Bishop Kelley High School has participated by writing letters, with each year’s letter count surpassing the previous one. This year, their efforts were led by senior and Make-A-Wish alum, Ellie Rocco, who had her wish for school tuition granted in 2021.
Their hard work paid off as they delivered to Macy’s their largest total to-date: 151,000 letters. Together with other members of Make-A-Wish’s Youth Leadership Council (YLC) , a total of 173,600 handwritten letters to Santa were delivered to Macy’s.
