Video: TPD: Father and son arrested for burglary, son says name is "Matt Damon"

TULSA, Okla. — A father and son were arrested after an AT&T store, near 71st and Mingo, was burglarized on Sunday morning, according to the Tulsa Police Department (TPD).

TPD said officers went to the store around 8 a.m. for an alarm. When they arrived at the store, they noticed the power was cut and a window was broken.

Police cleared the store and found that the store had been ransacked.

According to TPD, store personnel arrived and found that a number of items were missing. All of the drawers had been forced open and gone through. In addition, display phones, chargers, and other items were stolen.

Police said more than $1,000 in damage was done inside the store during the burglary.

Police also said they found an iPhone with a red case as they were going through the store. Store personnel said the phone wasn’t theirs and TPD took the phone as evidence, believing it belonged to one of the suspects.

After TPD left the store, they said a man, later identified as Dillon Slack, tried to get in the store.

Slack told store personnel that he left his phone inside and wanted to retrieve it. Store personnel told Slack that his phone wasn’t there.

According to police, store personnel said Slack left in a Jeep Cherokee with a missing right fender. Police searched the area but did not find the Jeep.

Police later found the Jeep in a parking lot near 61st and Garnett. They said Slack approached them and said that his name was Matt Damon.

TPD arrested Slack. Police then found Slack’s father, David McCollough, who was walking away from the Jeep, and arrested him as well.

According to police, Slack was identified by store personnel as the man who was asking for the phone.

Both men were taken to the detective division and interviewed.

According to police, Slack admitted to the burglary and said his father was in the Jeep during the burglary but did not get out of the vehicle.

Slack was booked for second-degree burglary and false impersonation.

McCollough was booked for second-degree burglary after former conviction of a felony.
