A former Broken Arrow High School teacher and coach was booked at the Tulsa County Jail on Friday for second-degree rape and sexual battery.
Court documents say 34-year-old Brandon Neal allegedly began a sexual relationship with a juvenile female Broken Arrow High School student in December 2019. The relationship allegedly ended in January 2020 when an investigation into the conduct began.
Court documents say the victim and Neal, a former teacher and coach at the high school, allegedly communicated through Snapchat.
The investigation failed to move forward after Neal and the victim denied the relationship, and no evidence was found.
Court documents say the victim then came forward about the relationship in May 2021 because she was afraid of Neal’s behavior. The victim said the first sexual encounter occurred at The Body Masters Fitness gym in Bixby, when she was lying down on a table while getting adjusted by Neal. The victim went to Neal’s home in Bixby at a later date while Neal’s wife and daughter were out of town.
As a condition of his bond, Neal is not allowed to be employed by any fitness gym, personal training or physical therapy related occupation. He is also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Neal pleaded not guilty to the charges. He resigned from the high school in January 2020. FOX23 has reached out to Neal’s attorney for comment, but has not yet heard back.
