102.3 KRMG, Tulsa’s news and talk powerhouse, will continue its dominance of local news coverage by expanding the KRMG Evening News with Skyler Cooper. The newly branded show, The KRMG Afternoon News with Skyler Cooper, will now air from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Cooper is an 11-year KRMG veteran and took the role of host in 2021. In that time, he has become an informative and entertaining voice to be trusted, picking up the 2022 Personality of the Year Award from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters earlier this month.
“Skyler is a Tulsa native and understands the landscape of our community and offers a unique perspective that you won’t find anywhere else,” says Levi May, KRMG Director of Branding and Programming. “KRMG is dedicated to covering our community and this move shows our listeners that we follow through with our ongoing commitment to be their go-to for all things local.”
The first day of the expanded KRMG Afternoon News with Skyler Cooper will be on Monday, May 1.
“I’m thrilled to expand our local news programming in the afternoons,” says Cooper. “Our listeners told us they wanted a change and we listened. We’ll keep the same news, weather, traffic, and talk that our listeners already enjoy, we’ll just be starting earlier!”
Listeners can hear The KRMG Afternoon News with Skyler Cooper several different ways. 102.3FM, AM740, KRMG.com, the free KRMG Smartphone App or on their favorite smart speaker.
