It's probably a bad idea to park your vehicle in the middle of the roadway.

A suspected intoxicated driver did just that around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning near 56th and Sheridan.

“The officer initiated his lights to check on the subject and approached the passenger side of the vehicle,” a Tulsa police supervisor said.  “He knocked on the window and woke up the driver.  The driver waved and slowly took off southbound.”

KRMG’s told the pursuit didn’t last very long and the driver was only going around 15 MPH.  He stopped two miles down the road and was taken into custody.

The driver now faces counts of DUI and eluding.
