SAPULPA, Okla. — Former astronaut Col. Paul S. Lockhart, along with members of the Space Foundation Team, will visit Liberty Elementary STEM Academy in Sapulpa on Monday.
The visit is part of Flight Night Space Week, a Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance event to build on students' interest and skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Col. Lockhart will discuss the 663 hours he spent in space on the International Space Station and Space Education Specialists will conduct interactive classroom activities with students.
The event begins at 1 p.m. and repeats at 2:10 p.m.
