Broken Arrow schools release plan for return to in-person learning

Broken Arrow students will return to class Monday, February 8th, the district announced.

“All grades, Pre-K through 12, are returning to in-person learning.” BAPS Director of Public Relations Adam Foreman said.

Pre-K through 5th grade will remain in class for the entire week, but 6th - 12th grades will return to distance learning Thursday, Feb. 11th and Friday, Feb. 12th. Many of the districts bus drivers will receive their second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday Feb. 10th, so they will be given extra time to recover from potential side effects of the vaccine.

With the shortage of drivers on those days, the district opted to move the older students to distance learning.

“This is a pre-emptive measure by the district at the advice of our health department advisors.” Foreman added.
