BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Broken Arrow parents spoke out and the school district listened.
The Broken Arrow School board voted three to zero Monday night to approve the traditional five-day structure with a few changes.
BAPS says the schedule reduces distance learning days from eight to six. Elementary students will have earlier release times next year and additional breaks in the second semester to support student and staff mental health.
Unused snow days in April and May will be moved to Friday and if they aren’t used, students will have those Fridays off.
The plan keeps five-day school weeks and BAPS says most students, parents, and teachers support the new schedule.
