The new location is the second in Tulsa for Brownie’s, which has been around since the 1950s.
Brownies is known for their old-fashioned hamburgers and homemade root beer. That root beer is served in frosty mugs, just as any good root beer was intended to be.
Larry, a first time diner at Brownies, said “It’s an old-time, old-fashioned hamburger. It’s just what I was hoping it would be like."
His wife Kay liked her burger too, but it wasn’t her favorite part.
Kay said, “I love Brownie’s. It’s wonderful and I love love love the onion rings.”
Many Tulsans are excited to see the iconic burger shop in south Tulsa.
The original location, 21st and Harvard, will remain open.
Brownies serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
