(TULSA) - A multi-vehicle crash closed the Muskogee Turnpike near the Creek Turnpike Friday morning.

Both directions were closed at 9:15.

Emergency crews opened one lane in each direction by 9:45 and had all lanes back open by 10:45.

Investigators say a van driver tried to do an illegal u-turn and had to back up. That's when a tractor trailer slowed down to avoid the van and a government bus hit the truck. The truck then hit the van.

There were six people in the van. Troopers say a passenger was ejected and flown to the hospital. The other passengers were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The driver wasn't injured.
