An elderly gentleman refused to become a victim on Tuesday in Tulsa.

KRMG has learned three juvenile males attempted to steal the man's car at gunpoint. The incident happened around 4:20 p.m. near East Pine and North Yale.

A police supervisor says not only did the man refuse to give them his keys, he also chased after them.

“One of the robbers fired a shot into the ground to encourage the victim to quit chasing him,” supervisor said.  “The suspects were last seen fleeing into the neighborhood.”
