A prominent Oklahoma republican says he may not support Donald Trump's presidential bid.
Former Governor Frank Keating tells the New York Times that Trump has failed to meet the traditional expectations of political leaders responding to violent events. “Frequently, Mr. Trump’s tone is hysterical, and there is simply no reason for that,” Mr. Keating said.
“Leaders, whether they’re governors or presidents, need to make sure they don’t create a blood-lust hysteria.”
Keating served as Oklahoma's governor from 1995-2003.
He was three months into his first term when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was destroyed in the Oklahoma City Bombing.
