The Tulsa International Car Show returns to the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square this week, and it's bigger than ever after a couple of off years.
Near disaster in the auto industry has made the last couple of years extremely difficult for show organizers, as some auto makers didn't attend.
But this year, all the major lines are represented.
Charles Taber, General Manager of the TICS, told KRMG this is the event's 24th year.
It features product displays, including cars one won't find at the local dealerships.
Taber said a 2013 Dodge Dart will be among the special cars that will interest afficianadoes.
Vintage and classic car buffs will also have a lot to see. "We're kind of known in the country for having one of the largest vintage and classic sections of any new car show in the United States," Taber told KRMG. "Here in the building this weekend we'll have between 240 and 260 vintage and classic show cars."
For people actually shopping for a vehicle, "the show really puts together a complete array of the automotive industry," Taber added. "Not only do we have all the new and future cars coming, but we have all of today's current models. (We) let you kind of walk down side-by-side and see, shop, and compare."
Admission to the show is $8. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a parent.
