TULSA — State Farm announced Thursday that it will close the Tulsa facility near 51st and 129th E. Ave. by 2019.
Around 530 Tulsa employees will be affected.
Some employees will move to the company headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois.
Other will relocate to Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta.
The company plans to close 11 facilities nationwide over the next several years.
KRMG obtained a statement from State Farm.
“We understand the decision to exit these facilities directly affects our employees and their communities,” said Mary Schmidt, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
The employees will start to move next year.
