Oklahoma Women Want to Know is a podcast about topics women talk about with their friends all the time, but rarely speak about publicly. The hosts of the podcast are KRMG News Director April Hill, KRMG Morning News with Dan Potter Co-host Jen Townley and KRMG Reporter Crystal Kelly. They’re getting personal about today’s major issues, about themselves and interviewing women who inspire them. So many different topics are discussed in the newsroom every day that rarely make it on the air.

April, Jen and Crystal are three women with very different lives. Jen has been in Oklahoma for 14 years, after growing up on Long Island she decided to start her family here in Green Country. Learning how to juggle a busy radio news career and a family is a constant challenge she’s embracing. April opens up about her brain aneurysm that burst at work, right before she was going on the air. She also gets candid about her struggles with her mom, who lost all of her money in a romance scam. Crystal is a single mom of an adult autistic son. She talks about that, and gets very personal about her weight loss surgery that brought her from 320 pounds down to 120 pounds and sees how people treat her differently because of her weight.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share stories from other Oklahoma women on their struggles and achievements,” said KRMG News Director April Hill. “Some of the conversations we’re going to air on the podcast are going to be uncomfortable, others are going to be a lot of fun.”
