Two years ago, the immensely popular cable TV show ‘Live PD’ was canceled by the A&E Network.
The show featured live footage of police interactions around the country every Friday and Saturday night.
The cancellation came in the aftermath of the George Floyd murder in Minnesota and criticism of showing interactions with the police for entertainment purposes.
Even though the show went off the air, there was still a huge fanbase craving more.
It took some time and a new network to revive the show, but ‘Live PD’ is returning this July as ‘On Patrol: Live’ on the Reelz Network.
You read it right! It's been a very lonnnnngggg process but our Friday and Saturday nights get to be shared together once again! 'On Patrol: Live' will air on the Reelz channel very soon, so get your crew ready by spreading the word. Full article at https://t.co/U1fziA8YKG pic.twitter.com/CNfZf5kxqg

Now-retired Tulsa Police Sergeant Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin was a regular on the show and told KRMG he’s thrilled to be a part of its revival.
“People want transparency and I don’t know what could be more transparent than a show that basically shows you this job live across the country.” Larkin said.
Host Dan Abrams will return with Larkin providing analysis.
For those who can’t get behind the paywall, the WSJ headline is “Live PD is coming back this summer as “On Patrol Live” @ReelzChannel. The show will be back on Friday and Saturday nights sometime later this summer! (And the name is a “working” title).

Former analyst Tom Morris will not return, but another familiar face will step in. Larkin told KRMG Curtis Wilson from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department will be the show’s other analyst.
Devoted fans can rest easy knowing ‘On Patrol: Live’ will look nearly identical to ‘Live PD’ with Abrams, Larkin and Wilson in a New York studio checking in live with departments around the country.
We don’t yet know which departments will be on the show, but Larkin said his gut tells him we’ll see some familiar faces.
Larkin said fans can expect a late July debut on the Reelz Network.
