The head of the Tulsa postal workers union says the kinds of mail delays being reported around the country, are happening in Tulsa too.
Jeff Bradley, the President of APWU Local 1348, says that’s what he’s hearing from his members.
He says he’s even had the experience himself.
“I can personally say my medication comes out of Muskogee. It takes one day. It took five days. I’ve heard from other people that are veterans, friends of mine, who get their medicines, and they’re also being delayed,” Bradley said.
He says the main problems are new rules that limit overtime and the removal of 5 to 10 postal sorting machines.
There’s concern the slowdowns could hamper people’s ability to vote by mail.
