The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office says they are conducting a death investigation at a residence southeast of Chouteau.

Both the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the case.

The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office says there is no danger to the public.
