Planning is underway for a massive development in the Brookside area.

Developers of the Brookside 31 project are seeking zoning for the southeast corner of 31st and Peoria.

The project would include housing, retail, restaurant, entertainment and office space.

Developers said the site would include “pedestrian friendly thoroughfare cross sections, and help to ensure higher density development is appropriately scaled and located on the site in order to minimize impacts on the surrounding existing residential areas.”

The development’s higher density mixed-use building is located so that the tallest portions of the building are the most internal to the site, which developers said helps to mitigate the feeling of the building towering over the street.

The Tulsa Planning Commission will meet to discuss this development on September 2nd.
