There are many new attractions at this year's Tulsa State Fair, including a new extreme ride.

The new ride is called The Max. It's described to KRMG as a glider and free fall ride.

Sara Thompson with the Tulsa State Fair says, "It's a three person ride where you're strapped in to a harness that lays you on your stomach and then you're pulled backwards and let go."

The other extreme rides are the Slingshot and the Skyscraper.

Thompson says those two rides were available at last year’s fair.

Some of the rides are so big that crews started set up the second week of September.

The Tulsa State Fair starts Thursday.
