IDABEL, Okla. — The National Weather Service has upgraded the Idabel tornado to an EF-4.
The Shreveport bureau confirmed the information on Twitter.
A Quick Response Team (QRT) assessed the damage today of the tornado that tracked 58 miles from Red River County, TX to McCurtain County, OK on Nov. 4. This tornado is now preliminarily upgraded from an EF-3 to an EF-4 with estimated max winds of 170 mph. #OKwx #TXwx pic.twitter.com/QJKCg8Je10

The tornado tracked for 58 miles, beginning in Texas and ended in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
Estimated winds are believed to be around 170 miles per hour.
