OKC, Okla. — The Oklahoma Senate will hear a bill aimed at making medical marijuana more accessible for patients in need.

Currently, only board certified or specialized doctors can prescribe the drug.

Senate Bill 162 would enable any qualified physician to recommend the drug.

The bill comes after 450 patients were told to re-apply because their doctors were not board certified.
