President Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter was big news, especially considering he’d promised not to do so.
The rest of his pardons released Thursday aren’t as attention grabbing, but there is one Oklahoma woman on the list.
The president has issued a pardon for Shannan Rae Faulkner, from Muldrow, who the White House said pleaded guilty to a non-violent drug offense.
Faulkner, who’s already served her sentence, now works as a counselor and recovery coach with female trauma victims and people with disabilities, according to the White House.
The 56-year-old now volunteers with organizations dedicated to preventing sexual assault and domestic violence and helps local charities, the Biden Administration said.
“Colleagues attest to her inspirational character, her integrity, and the remarkable impact she makes on the lives of those she helps.” A statement from the White House said.
