KEYSTONE LAKE — It took a lot of people and some heavy machinery, but a car was pulled out of Keystone Lake on Thursday.

The recovery happened after a fisherman reported finding the car at a spot near US-412.  KRMG’s told the vehicle sank about 20 feet underwater and had been buried in silt.

A trooper explains why so many members of the Oklahoma High Patrol and the Corps of Engineers were involved with the recovery.

“It’s a crime scene one way or the other, whether it was dumped there or went off the roadway,” the trooper said.

There were no human remains inside the vehicle, which was a real concern.

It is believed the car is either a 1967 or 1968 Buick Wildcat.
