OHP OHP

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a plane crash in northwest Cherokee County near the Mayes County line.

Cherokee County Sheriff's dispatcher Trey Robertson says they got a call about the crash from the pilot and his passenger after the plane went down near West 660 Road and North 387 Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Robertson said, "We were able to locate where they were through GPS to send emergency help to them. All we know at that time they told us was that their airplane had crashed."

We're told the pilot and a passenger were on board, but no one was hurt.
