Tulsa Police said a man was arrested after allegedly holding his girlfriend and her three children hostage in a motel room on Tuesday morning.
At around 6:50 a.m., officers responded to a call at the Eagle Suites near 47th and Yale.
During the investigation, officers learned the suspect, identified as Quintraious Marshall, got into an argument with his girlfriend that turned physical.
At one point, his girlfriend locked him out of the room, but TPD said Marshall forced his way back in.
The victims said that inside the room, Marshall threatened to take the life of his girlfriend and her three children who were also in the room at the time. The children are ages 10, 3 and 2 months old.
TPD said Marshall was armed with a pistol and pointed it at several of the victims.
When police arrived at the scene, Marshall refused to come out of the room and officers set up a containment area.
Crisis negotiators were able to talk with Marshall who eventually came out of the room and was taken into custody.
TPD then quickly entered the motel room and rescued the children who were found unharmed.
Marshall was arrested for two counts of pointing a deadly weapon, kidnapping, possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony, domestic assault and battery, threatening a violent act and interrupting/interfering with an emergency call.
