Tulsa police were called to a home near Latimer and Mingo around 1:15 Tuesday afternoon by an 83-year-old man.
The victim says the suspect came to his door and asked to use his telephone then demanded money.
When he started to leave, the victim tried to stop him and got pot of hot tea thrown on him.
Officers found the suspect, identified as Tevion Black, nearby and he was taken into custody.
Tevion Black was carrying cash from the robbery, and the victim’s wallet was located in a trash can nearby.
The wallet and cash were returned to the victim.
Black was arrested for 1st Degree Robbery by Force or Fear.
