Tulsa, Okla. — A shoplifting suspect is shot by a security guard at Quiktrip. The contract security guard had been watching the suspect take merchandise out of the store. When the guard approached the suspect, the man left but returned with a metal bar, striking the guard several times. That's when the guard fired several gunshots. One of the bullets hit the suspect in the torso. Another of the bullets “struck a house across the street went through a window but didn’t hit anyone inside the house,” TPD Sgt. Andrew Mackenzie said. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment. The guard had an interview with detectives.
