P0lice believe slick roads and driving too fast for conditions contributed to a three-car wreck that left three people hospitalized Thursday morning, one in grave condition.

A car was headed north on Riverside drive when it appears the driver lost control after hydroplaning just north of 81st Street.

The car slid sideways over a grass median, careening into the southbound lanes where it was hit from the side by another car.

The car then bounced into the center southbound lane, where it was struck again.

The driver of the first car is in critical condition, and the other two drivers were also taken to the hospital.

The wreck shut down Riverside Drive southbound; police diverted traffic into the River Spirit Casino complex, then back onto Riverside at 81st.

Police did not release the names of any of the drivers.
