The popular Christmas Chute on Route 66 in Sapulpa has just wrapped up for season and organizers announced it would not return in 2025.

It’s not a permanent loss, organizers said, but rather a temporary pause for construction on Dewey Avenue.

That construction includes a streetscape redesign along the very stretch of road where the chute is set up each year.

Sapulpa’s Route 66 Christmas Chute saw visitors from more than 40 states and dozens of countries this year, according to organizers.

They said the Christmas Chute will return in 2026 in time for the Route 66 centennial.
