Tulsa, Okla. — A head-on collision with a concrete pillar takes the life of a driver on Garnett Road at the Broken Arrow Expressway.

Police tell us the driver in his 50's had been going over a hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction at 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

“He was pinned inside the vehicle and the fire department had to use the Jaws of Life in multiple different spots,” TPD Sgt. Chris Moudy said.

Another driver said the man had gotten turned around near 45th and Garnett before the crash.

The medical examiner will decide if the victim had been drinking.
