Tulsa, Okla. — Edison Preparatory School students, parents and teachers meet with the Tulsa School Board. One of the students spoke at the meeting Monday night. The meeting comes after a teacher was caught on camera flipping a desk and another teacher was investigated over allegations concerning inappropriate communications with a student. One student said she felt like it was her responsibility to speak up for “the injustices I have seen at my school.” Superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist said Edison will remain one of the best schools in Oklahoma. Dr. Gist said she supports the principal at Edison, but the board has heard the students' complaints.
