The Tulsa area received five inches of snow on Sunday, marking the first snowfall of that magnitude in years.
The National Weather Service in Tulsa told KRMG it was 2013 the last time three or more inches of snow fell in the area. It was 2011 the last time five inches of snow blanketed Tulsa.
Meteorologist Mike Teague said more snow is expected on Tuesday.
“Projecting about 1 to 2 inches in the Tulsa Metro.” Teague said.
We’re told most of the impact will be during the snowfall Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday night. Temperatures will dip below freezing going into the overnight hours, making for a tough drive Wednesday morning.
