TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa-based musician is gaining traction online.

Alan Doyle, originally from Broken Arrow, is known as the Number 4 online. The hip-hop artist recently performed at Cain’s Ballroom and said it’s a special experience each time he takes the stage.

“It’s a privilege and it’s an honor. It’s my fourth time now, and every time it gets better and better. This venue is just historic, it’s just incredible,” said Doyle.

You can find Doyle’s music on YouTube, including his popular song, “Chillin.”

Doyle gained a new level of exposure after the music video was released, but he has been perfecting his craft for years. In 2013, Doyle was awarded Tulsa Urban Weekly’s Absolute Best of Tulsa in the hip-hop category.

He has opened concerts for artists like Bone Thugs and Harmony and Coolio. Doyle has released five albums over the past years.

“Whenever I get the chance, I get to perform anywhere. I can in Tulsa, I’ve been doing that for 11.5 years now,” said Doyle.

Doyle’s next performance will be at the Starlite on Jul. 15.
