Police say James Hendricks was shot and killed near Admiral and Mingo at an apartment complex Sunday.

His sister was also shot. She is expected to survive.

An anonymous tip led police to the area of 13th and Fremont in Muskogee on Monday.

Police pulled up to the home and spotted the suspect, Demontre Bruner, on the porch.

Bruner took off on foot, but a K-9 tracked him down a couple of blocks away.

Bruner then exchanged shots with Muskogee officers.

Paramedics took Bruner to a Tulsa hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Six officers are on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
