TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa’s Sweet Tooth Candy & Gift Company is closing its doors after nearly 30 years in business.
Jeff Darby and Janet Dundee, both husband and wife, are co-owners of the business and are ready to retire.
“Some of our staff have also returned over and over again, and we are very fortunate to have had great staff over the years,” said Dundee. “We’re happy to see everyone, we’re going to miss them.”
Dundee and Darby started Sweet Tooth in the fall of 1992. It was originally located in the Farm Shopping Center. It has moved a few times, before ending at it’s final location near Harvard and E. 36th Street.
Sweet Tooth has earned a reputation for showcasing local chocolates and candies. They are also known for its unique gift baskets for birthdays, weddings, and Easter.
FOX23 spoke with some customers who say they’ll miss this community treasure.
“I moved here five years ago and this place caught my eye,” said Lindsey McManus. “I’m sad and I’ll miss coming here.”
Sweet Tooth will close on Aug. 13.
