The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reopened the Turner Turnpike (Interstate 44) from Tulsa west to the Bristow exit for the time being.
Troopers had closed the road earlier in the afternoon because smoke from wild fires was blowing across the highway.
KRMG has reports of several structures damaged or destroyed by that fire, but we have no reports of injuries at this time.s
That fire has led to an evacuation order for the town of Drumright. (Click related story link for more information.)
Additionally, all highways west of Tulsa going into Creek County remain closed, including:
State Highway 33 from State Highway 48 to State Highway 99

State Highway 51 from State Highway 48 to State Highway 99

State Highway 99 from State Highway 51 to State Highway 33

State Highway 48 from State Highway 51 to State Highway 33
