Tulsa Police have an arrest warrant for a suspect in the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Ismeal King on Sunday at the Garden Courtyard Apartments near 41st and Garnett, and they say it’s the victim’s son.
According to court records, witnesses say that on Sunday, Ismeal King and his son, Raterrius King, got into a heated argument on the phone and that Ismeal King went to the apartment on Garnett, where they believe Raterrius shot him several times in the chest.
Ismeal King initially survived the shooting, but died at a hospital the next day as a result of his wounds.
Investigators say Raterrius denied being at the scene, but they state in the court records they found evidence, including shell casings, tying Raterrius to the crime.
At last check, he was still at large.
