A man learned the hard way yesterday to pick on somebody his own size.

Tulsa police say a woman of short stature was headed into a Starbucks near 51st Harvard, when she was attacked by a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, gloves, and sunglasses.  The suspect was later identified as Christopher McKinzie.

He punched, kicked, and dragged the woman across the parking lot in attempt to steal her purse.

A citizen saw what was going on and decided to help.  Police say the unidentified man physically detained McKinzie, and kept him in custody until officers arrived at the scene.

The woman suffered multiple injuries, but none are said to be life threatening.

McKinzie was taken to the Tulsa County Jail.
