TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police are investigating after a woman was shot to death in what appears to be a road rage incident in the AutoZone parking lot near 51st and Peoria on Friday.
Police at the scene told FOX23 that a man fired shots from his car into another car, killing a woman. The shooter turned himself into law enforcement at another location.
At this time, police said it is not known if they knew each other or not.
Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin released a statement on Twitter Friday evening after the shooting.
Today a man murdered a woman because he didn’t like the way she drove her car. @TulsaPolice does everything possible to create a safe community. Acts such as this are difficult to predict and prevent. Since the pandemic violence in American cities has increased exponentially. pic.twitter.com/gH8i0OEHdx
