The economy is booming in many ways, but some experts warn the income gap between rich and poor is still growing.
The German bank Deutsche Bank tells Yahoo Finance that before 2008, the median net worth of a U.S. family was $119,000.
In 2016, it had dropped to $78,000.
The bank also says the U.S. lags behind the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Canada, in what’s known as income mobility.
In the U.S., the chances of a child born into a family in the lowest 20-percent of income reaching the top 20-percent of income in his or her lifetime is lower than 8-percent.
In Canada, it's nearly 14-percent.
