POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. — Recently elected District Attorney David Hammer died over the weekend.

Last week, Hammer won the election for district attorney for Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties with 53% of the vote.

Hammer was 50.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of District Attorney-elect David Hammer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this terrible time.” the Pottawatomie County Republican Party officials said.
