BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Bartlesville police say the man who shot and killed two people has turned himself into police less than 24 hours after the crime.
Both Bartlesville and Tulsa police were looking for Gregory Rogers, of Tulsa. He is accused in a double homicide Monday night in the Bartlesville bar, Kickstand Saloon, near Southwest Frank Phillips Boulevard and Western Street.
Police identified the homicide victims as 40-year-old Austin Standeford and 29-year-old Van Allen Parson. Officers say some sort of altercation led to the shooting at the bar.
After the shooting, Rogers went to a Tulsa hospital around 11:30 p.m. for a gunshot wound to his arm, but left before being treated.
Bartlesville’s police chief says a double homicide is unusual for the town, where they usually average one homicide a year.
