TULSA, Okla. — FOX23 was given an update on the Cascia Hall football player who collapsed during last Friday night’s game.
His mother said his condition is improving.
Friday night, FOX23 reported when the medical team rushed to the field to help Collin Cottom. He collapsed, needed chest compressions and was rushed to the hospital.
His mother, Karissa Cottom, shared a photo of Collin with FOX23 and released a statement on his condition.
“We would like to thank our Cascia Hall family and the numerous schools and communities for the prayers and outpouring of support. Collin is making great steps in his recovery, and we have felt everyone’s love and well wishes,” Karissa said.
A t-shirt fundraiser is being held with the hope of filling the stands at this Friday night’s game with everyone wearing “TEAM COLLIN” shirts as a sign of solidarity.
